In a statement from Qezel Hesar, political prisoners write: Saeed Masouri Is the Regime’s Target for Vengeful Retribution Against the People They reveal how Saeed Masouri, Iran’s longest-held political prisoner was nearly abducted on July 16. Under the pretext of a “security summons,” guards tried to transfer him to an unknown location. Prisoners protested, surrounded the gate & forced his return to the ward. But authorities have made it clear: Masouri will face forced exile by Saturday, July 19, likely to a prison in southern or southwestern Iran. This attempted abduction & forced transfer blatantly violates Iranian and international law.
